Description: I advertised this engine a few weeks ago and it was sold pending the purchaser being able to gather the funds necessary. However, he was unable to attain the funds and so I'm advertising it again.

I was able to access one email from a person who had inquired about it from the previous ad. But, my system deleted the others. So, if you have or had interest in this engine, please contact me again.

This is an original early Otto Portable engine. What you see is 100% original. The cooling tank, piping, trucks and wheels and so on which are unique to Otto and possibly built by them are the original items that left the factory with the engine. The original ignitor wiring is even still on the engine. The brass ignitor has the patent date found on it. There are only a couple of these early Portable Ottos in existence. The cooling tank is mounted above the cylinder and a blower is run from a belt around the rim of the flywheel. The blower forces air up through the pipe and through a spiral tube in the middle of the tank. Its a primitive fan/radiator set up and I'm sure it worked well. Its an extremely impressive looking engine.

This is an extremely rare engine and was built by the premiere engine builder, Otto Manufacturing of Philadelphia. As a result, this engine isn't cheap but its better than money in the bank (drawing 1 to 2% interest).
