Description: I have owned and run the 1909 16-48hp Port Huron for 23 years. We have good history on the engine including the inspection report at the time of the original sale and the original purchaser was Dayton Township, Freemont, Michigan. It was originally used as a road roller and then converted to a traction engine. Port Huron was the only manufacturer who made kits to change from a road roller to a traction engine. The flue tubes and front tube sheet have been replaced. It has a current Washington State boiler certificate. A recent ultra sound was done by NW Inspections in 2016 with good results. The engine is equipped with a 3" three chime and a 6" five chime locomotive whistle. The tractor is all piped with 300# black iron except the 50# locomotive whistle which has 3000# forged nipples. For street use the wheels are rubber covered. It has been on national TV twice: The Charles Cariou Show & Arts & Entertainment.I have enjoyed this engine immensely and it is a part of our family, but it's time to part with it and let a younger person enjoy the fun. will consider reasonable offers after 5:00. pm. 509-588-5015. last time to lower the price
