I never thought I'd be selling this. In 2009 I rebuilt this machine mechanically with the following new or NOS parts:

NOS PTO U-Joints
NOS sickle knife assy.
NOS hitch clevis
Rebuilt draper idlers
NOS lower draper drive roll
NOS upper and lower draper drive roll bearings
NOS canvas draper assemblies, upper and lower
New reel arms (ash) (all 8)
NOS reel bats (all 4)
New tailings return chute
New cylinder bars (all 8)
New cylinder bearings
NOS cylinder drive belt
All other belts are new
New shelling plate rubber
NOS beater bearings
NOS beater cover plate
NOS straw rack pitman
NOS straw rack pitman bearings
NOS straw rack pitman assy.
Straw rack rebuilt with new and NOS wood parts
NOS straw rack rear chute
NOS grain drag chain assembly
New maple grain drag rails
New maple grain drag chain guides
New return floor corner deflectors
NOS sieve shoe assy. (Sieves are original and in excellent condition)
NOS sieve shoe bearings & links
NOS tailings trough tail board assy.
New unloading auger tube

After all of this work, I have harvested approximately 35 acres with this machine with VERY few problems. I've harvested oats, wheat, barley, and soybeans and finishing screens for these crops are included, along with a few others. It has been a joy to own and operate. This would be an excellent machine for someone who wants to demonstrate at shows, or who wants to harvest small amounts of grain with small equipment that doesn't take up any more storage space than a pickup. It is easy to haul at 8 feet wide and about 1600 lbs.
In addition to the combine, I have LOTS of New Old Stock parts that will go with it, including NOS wheels, cylinder belt, sickle pitman & pulley assy., tailings auger trough, tailings elevator chain assembly, lower canvas draper assembly, another chaffer shoe housing, and a couple of buckets/ boxes of NOS small parts. Also included are a bunch of used parts that were salvaged from another 40. All of these parts make for a good sized pickup load. My collection of original manuals and sales literature is included as well. I really hate to see this go but with a daughter in college, something has to give! I'm sure my price may sound high, but if you have brought one of these machines up to reliable, field ready condition before, you will recognize it to be a bargain. I'm asking $3500 and reasonable offers will be considered, but the parts will not be sold separately unless the buyer of the combine does not want them. These pictures do not show all the parts at all, they are just a sample. Please email me directly at If you'd rather talk on the phone, send me your number and a time to call.
