Description:	1860s Beam Engine Folks, this is the real deal! In a conversation with the former curator of the Smithsonian Institution, this engine was stated to be one of the most historic and rare steam engines this individual had ever seen. I will provide the buyer with the history of this engine as well as the experts and their opinions regarding this rare and valuable piece. This is no joke, this is a real 1860s beam engine built in the marine style which stands approximately 4 feet tall. When was the last time you saw a real beam engine which was not built as a model or stood 10' tall? A rare and manageable size intended for use in a small shop, this engine is provided with a small flat belt pulley for power transmission.
