Description:	Up for auction is a nice unrestored 6HP Fairbanks Morse engine. This engine has the 8 HP flywheel option. Flywheels measure 36 inches across and are 2 3/8 inches thick. Should be able to run nice and slow. SN is 200298 which I believe puts the engine at 1917. Engine has the rotary mag(untested but looks very good), crankguard and hand clutch, all very hard items to find. There is a weld repair on the head but seems to be nicely done and sound. I have not run this engine nor have I tested the weld repair. All seems well though. I do not see any more CBWs. ONE NOTE: the serial number on the crank nose, stamped in the hopper and on the tag ALL MATCH. This is not a pieced together engine. Piston is not stuck, picture shows rod disconnected, but this was for pictures only. I do have the ignitor, mixer and gas tank for this engine, they just are not pictured. This is a throttle governed, kerosene engine. Pictures are not great, so if you want more let me know. I am selling this engine to make room and funds for another purchase. This is a good engine and needs a good home. I will not part this, or any of my engines out so do not ask. If you are local, and want to view the engine let me know. Expect this item to weigh 1100 lbs or so, Shipping is an option via freight. There is a Roadway dock near my house. I would pallet the engine to ship but the buyer pays for all shipping and makes the arrangements. I will be going to the Mt Pleasant Iowa show around Labor day and will bring the engine for a bit of gas money to that area. I will also be going to central Ohio before the end of the year and can take it that far or drop it off very near I-70 for a bit of gas money as well. Please ask questions early because computer availability may not allow last minute questions to be answered with as much detail and care. I do require payment within 7 business days of the auction end and can store until the buyer can receive the engine. I accept PayPal, Money order(preferred) and cash.
