Description: Here is a Waterloo Boy engine that I believe is 1 1/2hp. It's an older unfinished restoration. Previous owner has made a new governor sleeve and rebuilt the head. I machined the piston to take new rings and spacers and made the mixer. It could use a new wristpin bushing and paint. The cart it's on goes with the engine although it's not that great. The homemade muffler doesn't muffle that much either but doesn't sound that bad. Fuel tank is a new repro. Essex mixer has new upper gaskets but no lower glass. Bearings have plenty of shims left in them. Flywheels run true although faces are pitted somewhat but not too bad. I have checked carefully and have not found any cracks breaks or welds on this engine. There is JB weld in the back of the bore. My guess is this engine sat for a long time with the piston near tdc while back of bore had water in it. Previous owner filled in the pits in lower bore with the stuff. I checked the bore where rings actually travel and it's fine - the filler was not necessary but I didn't own the engine when this was done. Don't let this scare you off, the new rings did the trick and compression is good on this engine. It starts easy and runs very well. A nice open crank ignitor fired hit miss engine. I collect Fuller & Johnson engines and would consider a trade for/toward an engine that I don't already have. I can deliver at no charge to the many shows around New England I attend as well as Coolspring in June. To view a short video of this engine running please visit here http://www.youtube.com/v/LWt_M0eJm0k I just uploaded the vid and it still might be getting processed but check back later.
